Ponderosa Aero Club, Inc.

Ponderosa Aero Club was formed in 1974 at a little airport on the Boise River in Idaho called Strawberry Glen. Over thirty years later, we’re bigger and better, with a safety record second to none. We have the largest fleet of well equipped and well maintained aircraft in the state. We have an excellent selection of aircraft, from Cessna 172’s to a Cessna T210 that are available for rental or training at very competitive rates. We also have the latest in new composite trainers; a 2001 Diamond DA20! We train for private pilot, instrument, commercial, flight instructor and we have a very popular backcountry training course for our members. If you need financing for your training, we offer education loans through Sallie Mae. If you’re a career bound aviator, learn to fly with Ponderosa Aero Club and earn your regionally accredited degree through Utah Valley State College’s Online Global Aviation Degree Program.
